Second Memorial Giovanni Cittadini

On Sunday, March 2nd, around 300 young players gathered for the Rugby Tournament "2nd Memorial Giovanni Cittadini", in memory of the unforgettable President of Cittadini S.p.A. The tournament was organized on the fields of Gussago and Ospitaletto and involved the under-6, under-8, under-10, and under-12 teams from the following clubs: Gussago Rugby Club, C.P. Rugby Ospitaletto, Rugby Brescia, I Centurioni Rugby from Lumezzane, Bassa Bresciana Rugby, Rugby Rovato, and Desenzano Rugby.

The beautiful day also encouraged a large turnout of parents, grandparents, and rugby enthusiasts, who shared with the young players the excitement and passion of numerous mini-matches, all played with incredible joy and enthusiasm. Each child wanted to be a little champion, running together towards the try line, understanding that by working as a team, they could reach their goal more easily.

It was a true celebration of youth sports on both fields: everyone showed great commitment and determination, never giving up, while enjoying themselves and receiving enthusiastic support from the crowd.

At the end of the tournament, the much-anticipated "third half" took place, where the pasta had a special flavor, turning the moment into a true celebration of joy, friendship, and togetherness.

Once again, through these young rugby players, the deep values of this sport were on full display—rugby as a training ground for great principles: respect, support, mutual help, true friendship, loyalty, and shared goals.
